PMP (Project Management Professional) qualification certification is currently a passport to enter the high-paying class in China, and it is also a sign of high-end position in the workplace. Some people think that I don’t need to take the PMP exam because I don’t need it for my current position; I can be competent for project management without a PMP certificate; learning PMP can only learn theoretical knowledge and cannot give me real guidance. ; PMP is just a certificate, it is a "threshold" for advancement in the workplace. Once you get it, you will become prosperous.
None of the above four cognitions can thoroughly understand PMP because:
1. You do not need to take the PMP for your current position. What about the future? Is your supervisor or project manager taking the PMP test, or has obtained the PMP certificate?
2. You can engage in project management without a PMP certificate, but it will definitely affect your promotion and salary increase and even the development of your entire career;
3. Learning PMP is a combination of theory and practice. It is more about mastering project management knowledge and best practice skills, and ultimately truly improving your project management ability;
4. PMP is not a certificate, it is a symbol of the status of a project management professional, but it does not mean that you will develop after you get it. You must apply what you have learned and apply project management knowledge to the workplace flexibly.
