How to use the ABS function?

The main function of Excel's ABS function is to calculate the absolute value of a number.

Function of ABS function

The ABS function is used to return the absolute value of a number. Positive numbers and 0 return the number itself, and negative numbers return the opposite of the number.

number (required): indicates the number whose absolute value is to be returned, which can be a directly input number or a cell reference.

Precautions for using the ABS function

Enter in cell D2:
