This article introduces the formula syntax and usage of the SUMXMY2 function in Microsoft Excel.
SUMXMY2 function function
The SUMXMY2 function is used to calculate the sum of squares of the difference between corresponding numbers in two arrays.
SUMXMY2 function format
SUMXMY2(array_x,array_y)
Parameter Description
array_x (required): indicates the first numerical area.
array_y (required): indicates the second numerical area.
Precautions for using the SUMXMY2 function
(1) The two parameters of the SUMXMY2 function can be directly entered values, cell references or arrays.
(2) If there are text, logical values or blank cells in the parameters, the SUMXMY2 function will ignore these values.
For example, the formula SUMXMY2({1,1},{3,4}) returns a result of 13, and the formula SUMXMY2({1,TRUE},{3,4}) returns a result of 4 because the first parameter Contains a logical value TRUE, so this part of the calculation is ignored.
(3) If the number of elements in the parameters array_x and array_y is different, the SUMXMY2 function will return the error value #N/A.
