The capture card solution needs to install a capture card (or connect a capture box) to the computer, connect through the SDI/HDMI physical signal line, and transmit one-to-one signals.

The NDI transmission scheme is a more efficient IP-based transmission scheme. Install the NDI discovery software on the computer and connect the small-sized NDI encoder to the signal source and the on-site IP network to achieve multi-channel transmission of any SDI/HDMI signal. The solution has the following application advantages:
1) Save on-site wiring: only need to install the NDI encoder on the camera to connect the signal source and network cable, and the back-end computer can be easily deployed by networking, eliminating the need for complicated SDI/HDMI connections. Save the computer hardware installation, and the transmission distance is not limited (transmission within the same LAN).
2) Multi-channel transmission: the back-end computer can receive any front-end video source, or any front-end video source can be received by multiple back-end computers at the same time (the number of channels is related to the on-site network bandwidth).
3) Low latency and high synchronization: The end-to-end latency of NDI transmission is as low as less than 100ms, and precise frame synchronization has been achieved.

The following will take the camera joining the Tencent conference system on the computer side as an example to introduce you in detail the convenient application of the NDI solution.
The camera is connected to the NDI encoder through the SDI/HDMI cable (take N30 as an example), the N30 is connected to the network switch, and the computer is also connected to the same subnet. When the network has DHCP function, the N30 device will automatically obtain the IP. In the same subnet, the NDI stream encoded by N30 can be discovered by other NDI devices. The specific device connection is shown in the following figure:

Install the NDI Tools tool on the computer, and then open the NDI Virtual Input program in the NDI Tools tool folder. It will be displayed in the toolbar in the lower right corner of your computer. Right-click to select the NDI you want to receive Equipment and channels.

Install Tencent conference software on your computer, log in to Tencent conference software, click your profile picture, select NewTek NDI Video from the drop-down list of "Settings"-"Video"-"Select Device", Tencent Conference Software will receive the NDI forwarded by Virtual Input video.

On the "Audio" page, you can select the appropriate speaker and microphone according to the meeting environment and needs. In the "Microphone" drop-down list, you can see NewTek NDI Audio, and Tencent Conference Software can use NDI stream audio.
