How does the Alibaba Cloud burst performance t5 cloud server enable the no performance constraint mode?

Alibaba Cloud burst performance t5 instance limits CPU performance by default, which is a performance-constrained instance. Now t5 instance has a new non-performance constraint mode. After opening this mode, you can get all CPU performance. Turning on the non-performance constraint mode may incur costs .

Introduction to non-performance constraint mode

The burst performance t5 instance is suitable for users with low CPU utilization for a long time. If the CPU utilization of the user's t5 instance occasionally appears to be above the limited baseline, it will be very difficult. "Open the t5 instance without performance constraint mode" is a good solution. With this in mind, turning on the non-performance constraint mode of the t5 instance will allow your application to break through the baseline at any time.

The second way

Log in to the ECS cloud server console;

Switch the region, find the t5 instance you want to modify, click "Manage", as shown in the figure below:

3. On the "Instance Details" page, as shown in the figure below, click "More", click "Open No Performance Constraint Mode", and click "OK".

Regarding the charge description reference:

No charge is charged when the non-performance constraint mode is turned on

No fees are charged in the following situations:

If in the next 24 hours or instance life cycle (whichever is shorter), the average CPU usage of a t5 instance is equal to or lower than the benchmark CPU computing performance, the hourly price of the instance automatically covers all usage peaks during the period. You don’t need to pay extra.

The instance specification has the maximum CPU credit balance within 24 hours. For example, t5-lc1m1.small can earn up to 144 credits. There is no charge when the used advance points are less than the maximum CPU points balance.

The case of opening non-performance constraint mode charging

Fees will be charged in the following situations:

If the used advance points exceed the maximum CPU points balance, a fee will be charged at the end of the time period.

If the advance points are used, and the instance is stopped or released before the points are cleared, the advance points fee will be charged once.

If the advance points are used up and the excess points continue to be used, additional fees will be charged.

When you switch from a t5 non-performance constrained instance to a t5 performance constrained instance, the advance credits will be charged immediately, and the cumulative CPU credits of the instance will remain unchanged.
