One: How to use the built-in digital color meter to extract the RGB value of the screen color in Mac?
Developers and designers often see favorite color schemes on the Internet, but the naked eye cannot recognize the specific color number of the color. At this time, we need to use tools to help us complete the work of taking color on the screen, and then apply the obtained color to our own development and design. This article describes how to quickly obtain the colors on the screen under the mac computer, and also tested the color differences of different color-taking modes.
1. Open the computer desktop and click on the rocket logo " LaunchPad" at the bottom of the screen . After clicking, you will see various software and applications on your computer.
2. Click " LaunchPad" and then select " Other". It is not a single software, but a collection of software, which contains some system-level practical gadgets.
3. After clicking the " Other" small software collection, click " Digital Color Meter ". This software is the tool we use for coloring the screen.
4. Put the mouse focus on any position on the computer screen, the digital color meter will display the color value at the focus, RGB represents red, green and blue. As the mouse keeps sliding, the displayed RGB value will change accordingly.
5. Set different display modes. This tool supports multiple display methods, including " native value ", " P3 display ", " sRGB display ", " normal RGB display ", " AdobeRGB display", "L * A * B * display ". In different display modes, the value is different. Later, we will make a more intuitive comparison to see the difference in color under different value modes.
6. Use a pure red color block to test the value difference of different display modes. As you can see in the figure below, for the same color patch, the values obtained by different display modes are different.
7. The following is a simple color-testing mobile application that only displays a row of colored Labels. The color of each Label is the pure red in different modes taken in the previous step. Observed by the naked eye, the red obtained by different display modes has different colors when used in mobile applications.
This is an issue to be noted when choosing colors on the screen. Make sure that the colors you get are really the ones you want to apply . To the naked eye, Adobe's colors are deeper, sRGB is more lively, P3 is dimmer, and the original values are softer.
